JV Moves To 2-0 in League


1/24/2012 - Girls Water Polo

The Lady Argos prevailed in an important game in their hunt for another undefeated league season.  The team faced Rancho Alamitos who looked strong coming into Tuesday's game with a record of 2-0 in league.  Two quick goals came from Aurora De Los Santos and Nicole Trivino, which gave the Argos the early lead which they held all game.  The strong play of Elizabeth Lehman held the Vaqueros to only 3 goals all game.  In the end the Lady Argos won 8-3 and are now 2-0 in league.

Starting a New Winning Streak

1/24/2012 - Girls Water Polo

The Lady Argos got back to their winning ways with a league win over Rancho Alamitos.  The game ball went to Sofia Contreras who had 5 goals. Briana Vi left the game in the third quarter due to a strained calf muscle, but had 2 goals before that.

Important Win Over Division Foe

1/18/2012 - Girls Water Polo

Garden Grove and Cajon were ranked 4th and 5th, respectively, in the Division 7 girls water polo poll coming into Wednesday's game.  This one was important to show that the Lady Argos are still a major contender in the division.  After a fairly close first half, the team took control en route to an 11-5 victory.

Celebrating the Streak

1/11/2012 - Girls Water Polo

The loss last night ends the Lady Argos' record-setting league winning streak.  Over ten years, the team won 47 consecutive league games.  This run also led to nine consecutive league championships, the second longest run of league championships in school history (badminton won 13 straight.)
